This artwork was inspired by time and the representation of time by humans throughout history. The blue hour (from the French l'heure bleue) is a period of twilight in the morning and in the evening, when the sky fills almost entirely with a darker blue than the sky blue of the day. This moment in the day is probably the most photographed. In summer, this hour is deemed to be the best to smell the scents of flowers. It is in the first moments of the "blue hour" that all the birds begin to sing.
